Cedar River Mortgage div of TMBG opened for business in April of 2001. The owner John Hunter brought his 20 years of residential lending and banking experience with him to the new company. His goals were to establish a mortgage company that would:
- address the specific needs of each individual borrower
- provide the highest level of service in the industry
- offer a wide variety of loan products at the lowest possible cost
- and build a referral base of satisfied clients that now numbers in the thousands.

Cedar River Mortgage div of TMBG is licensed by the State of Washington through Department of Financial Institutions. New Washington State regulations require that each one of our loan officers complete two continuing education classes every year. Each loan officer must be fingerprinted, pass a written examination and clear a background check to obtain their originator license. Mortgage broker loan officers are the only licensed loan originators in the State of Washington. You will see their individual license numbers on their personal pages on our web site.
Our loan officers work from our licensed branch location in Maple Valley, Washington. Cedar River Mortgage div of TMBG provides financing for the purchase, refinance and construction of residential properties in a three state area. You will also find a link on our web site for reverse mortgages.
